SULFUR DIOXIDE VAPORIZER

Sulfur dioxide is frequently used in the pulp mill for the preparation of anti-chlor solution.
For ease of flow control, sulfur dioxide is frequently vaporized prior to injection
into the process water stream.

The sulfur dioxide vaporizer is a steam jacketed vessel sized to suit the process
requirements. The vaporizer can be supplied as a single vessel or as a component of
a module.

When supplied as a module, the vaporizor and associated piping and instrumentation is
preassembled and skid mounted. Instrumentation supplied with a module provides for
continuous trouble-free operation and safeguard. The piping and hand valves used
throughout the module are selected and assembled for prevention of localized corrosion
or leakage.

Sulfur dioxide vaporizers are normally supplied as vertical units. Alternate horizontal
vaporizers are available, as are duplicate units mounted in parallel.
