A. H. LUNDBERG EDUCTORS

The Lundberg Eductor is utilized to intimately mix relief gases with cooking liquor. The
Eductor is most frequently used in sulfite mills for maximum recovery of sulfur dioxide
and steam in hot acid systems.

The Lundberg Eductor is custom designed for each installation so that the liquor flow
in the eductor jet provides sufficient energy to overcome pipeline friction and discharge
pressure. The resulting mixture can be discharged into a vessel at the same pressure
as the relieving pressure despite the varying flow rates encountered in pulp mill
operation.

The Eductor is fabricated of T-317L stainless steel for sulfite mill service. Other
materials are available for less corrosive service.

Optimum operation of the Lundberg Eductor requires a drop leg of the same diameter
as the Eductor body which extends vertically downward 32 feet before direction
change or discharge. The Eductor should be located 15 feet above the maximum
level in the receiving vessel.
