DILUTION COLUMN

Concentrated chemical solutions as received from production of bulk shipment often
require dilution prior to their process use. For example, sodium hydroxide received at 30%
(membrane cell liquor) to 50% (bulk shipment) must be diluted (e.g. to 5% to 10%). This
can be done automatically in the Dilution Column.

The Dilution Column is delivered as a module with all piping and instrumentation required
ready for operation upon installation. Piping connections are provided for strong solution,
dilution water and the diluted product stream. Dilution Columns are constructed of
materials appropriate to the solutions being diluted, e.g. carbon steel (for caustic soda),
stainless steels, titanium and synthetics.
